IndieView with Dreamer Thinkerman, author of Getting Out of Depression

By admin

It has both advantages and disadvantages. Follow your dream, take it easy, think in a step-by-step process, do not look back, do not listen to negative voices that could stop you, do not worry, do not be afraid of anything, just do it…Most importantly enjoy it! Sometimes I like background music, sometimes energetic music while I write. How long did it take you to write it? There was   not any part of the book I would have struggled with. It would be good to have an agent but as I do not have one at the moment, I just go ahead myself because I know that many people can get good things out of the book, so I have to keep going forward. What worked for me is all in my book. Finally I found my own way out of this terrible illness, and in this book I share my experience, knowledge and thoughts, and how I was able to achieve this goal. I did the book cover myself. England. I would just type whatever was in my head at the time like a brain dump. Do you listen to music while you write? I did not find other chance but to self-publish my book. Mainly people who suffer from depression, but also people who care about them, either professionals or family members or friends and caregivers. About the book
What is the book about? About Writing
Do you have a writing process? When did you start writing the book? Depression is very real. My way of getting out of depression and how I am able to lead a healthy and happy life. About Publishing
Did you submit your work to Agents? How did I do this? I believe that we can fight depression and lead healthy, happy lives once again. Yes, I did. There is a structure in the book, starting more from the sad side of subject and then gradually opening up for the solution, hope, the way out of depression and finding health and happiness. Did you hire a professional editor? Depression is very real. However, for this book it was not my practice to listen to music while I was writing. It depends on the subject. It was edited after I finished. Writing about the happier side of the life. About You
Where did you grow up? Yes, I outlined first. Do you edit as you go or wait until you’ve finished? To get out of depression and be healthy again was a process where I had to be patient and appreciate every little bit of effort I made instead of concentrating on the things I had not yet done. The sufferers all around the world know it very well and they are very real, including myself. Apart from the books I am working on to set up my Online Therapy Service for people who suffer from depression but also for those having alcohol related problems and those who would like lead a healthy and happy life…
End of Interview:
For more from Dreamer Thinkerman, visit his website. I did not find an agent who I could have worked together so I decided that my way would be self-publishing. I have plans but obviously an experienced professional could do a more effective job. What would you like readers to know about you? It is based on my own experience, my struggles, my suffering and the idea of helping on others. It is about depression. I have few book ideas in my head. I love the nature, the Earth, the Universe. On the other hand, I am absolutely open for working with an agent. August 2015. Do you have a target reader? What are you working on now? Do you outline? Any advice that you would like to give to other newbies considering becoming Indie authors? What came easily? Probably my next book will be about Happiness. However, this is my first book and also because it is a very sensitive subject I needed to think with extra care how I was writing the book. Was it a particular event or a gradual process? I would not mind to work with an agent or a publisher at all, but at this moment I do not have one. Dreamer Thinkerman – 5 February 2020
The Back Flap
I suffered from depression for many years, without finding the right resources or solution, and I was completely lost. If yes, what gets the fingers tapping? What made you decide to go Indie, whether self-publishing or with an indie publisher? Hungary. Do you have a marketing plan for the book or are you just winging it? My experience, knowledge and thoughts about this illness. The sufferers all around the world know it very well and they are very real, including myself. About 2 years. If so, do you do so extensively or just chapter headings and a couple of sentences? Were there any parts of the book where you struggled? If so can you please describe it? Where did you get the idea from? But then I go through on it again and again because of this fragile subject. Also I could write about alcoholism. Did you get your book cover professionally done or did you do it yourself? I also found many helpful ingredients that became part of this process. Where do you live now?
